Role Overview
- We are seeking a Production Support Analyst to manage the stability, maintenance, and defect remediation of our enterprise payment and core banking applications. You will deliver L2/L3 production support, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and support end-to-end testing and production releases in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident & Problem Management: Perform structured root cause analysis on application defects, provide technical remediation, and assist L2 teams with incident recovery and escalations.
- Application Maintenance & Enhancements: Debug code, make minor fixes, and support testing across SIT, UAT, and production deployments during scheduled maintenance windows.
- System Resiliency: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks to enhance application throughput, stability, and high-volume transaction processing.
- Release & Change Management: Comply with SDM policies, perform risk and impact assessments for all deployments, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate incident status, root cause findings, and release notes clearly to business users, internal support units, and external vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3 or more years of production support experience in multiple platforms and technologies
Core Technical Competencies:
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in the IBM AS400 / iSeries environment.
- Strong programming and query skills in RPG/LE, CL/LE, COBOL400, SQL, and Query400.
- Experience with change management and version control tools (e.g., ALDON, IBM RDi).
- Practical experience with monitoring and scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Splunk, BMC Helix).
Domain Knowledge:
- Exposure to banking payments and settlement workflows, including SWIFT messaging (MT/MX, ISO 20022), cross-border remittances, or regional clearing networks (e.g., MEPS+, RTGS, FAST, RENTAS, CNAPS).
Professional Attributes:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to participate in scheduled on-call rotation or weekend maintenance windows as operationally required.
