At Rentomojo, we're looking for a Copywriter who thinks like a journalist and writes like a comedian. Someone who understands why content works, why people stop scrolling, and how great storytelling can shape culture.
If you've written headlines people actually clicked on, scripts that felt real, or jokes that landed naturally — this role is for you.
We want someone who can spot stories in everyday life, simplify complex ideas, and turn insights into content that makes people laugh, think, engage, and share.
This role sits at the center of our brand storytelling efforts. Your work will live across social feeds, campaigns, films, product communication, and digital experiences — speaking directly to a generation figuring life out, one move at a time.
You'll be part storyteller, part strategist, and part executor.
What You'll Do
- Write high-impact copy across formats:
- Social media posts
- Reels & short-form video scripts
- Brand campaigns
- Digital ads
- Product messaging
- Emails & push notifications
- Landing pages & app communication
- Create short-form content for:
- Push notifications
- App banners
- CRM campaigns
- In-app messaging
- Turn cultural moments, internet trends, real-life observations, and consumer insights into relatable content
- Build humour-led and insight-led narratives that feel smart, relevant, and authentic
- Collaborate closely with designers, video editors, creators, marketers, and growth teams to bring ideas to life
- Adapt the brand voice across tones — witty, emotional, persuasive, conversational, and explanatory
- Write fast, rewrite faster, and polish relentlessly
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and contribute original campaign concepts, not just copy lines
Who We're Looking For
You'd Be a Great Fit If You Have
- A background in journalism, editorial, media, comedy writing, satire, scripting, or content creation
- Strong instincts for headlines, hooks, storytelling, and audience engagement
- A deep understanding of meme culture, internet humour, and platform behaviour
- The ability to simplify complex ideas without losing depth
- Experience writing for digital-first platforms, especially short-form video and social media
- A strong point of view, while being open to feedback and iteration
Bonus Points If You
- Have worked at a media house, newsroom, agency, or creator-led brand
- Have written scripts, satire, memes, or threads that generated strong engagement
- Have hands-on experience with Reels, YouTube Shorts, or creator content
- Understand basic production workflows and have been involved in shoots
- Run (or have run) a meme page, content page, newsletter, or personal brand
