We are looking for detail-oriented Copyeditors / Editorial Reviewersto support quality control for a publishing project. This role involves reviewing digital and print manuscripts and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Verification: Cross-check manuscripts against GoBy style guides to ensure formatting, grammar, and stylistic consistency.
- Manuscript Review: Compare Google Docs manuscripts with final PDFs created by the composition team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Differentiation: Identify specific print content within combined manuscripts and verify its correct placement in the final output.
- Quality Assurance: Perform both cold readsand comprehensive sense-proofingto ensure clarity, correctness, and readability.
- Error Detection: Identify inconsistencies, formatting issues, and missing elements across documents.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in copyediting / proofreading / editorial review
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines
- Experience working with Google Docs and PDF comparisons
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with publishing workflows is a plus
