Job Profile:

• Edit and proofread news stories for grammar, accuracy, clarity, and style
• Write compelling, precise headlines and summaries optimized for digital audiences
• Ensure all content adheres to editorial guidelines and house style
• Fact-check information and verify sources before publication
• Work closely with reporters and content writers to refine and structure copy
• Monitor breaking news flow and ensure quick turnaround without compromising quality
• Optimize content for digital platforms, including SEO and readability
• Maintain consistency across stories and uphold journalistic standards

Desired Profile:

• 3–4 years of experience in copy editing with a news media organization (digital preferred)
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and editorial style
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a 24/7 newsroom
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, digital publishing workflows, and SEO basics
• Strong news sense and understanding of current affairs

Experience:

3-4 years of experience in the Newspapers or Television industries

Qualification:

The candidate should have a Master's in Journalism / Mass Communication / English Literature / Political Science with Strong English-language skills.
