We are seeking an experienced and innovative
Copilot AI Engineer to join our growing AI and Digital Transformation team. This role is ideal for a technology professional who is passionate about Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and building intelligent enterprise solutions using the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered assistants, conversational applications, and workflow automation solutions that enhance productivity, streamline business processes, and deliver measurable business value.
As a Copilot AI Engineer, you will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, software engineers, and cloud teams to create scalable AI solutions leveraging Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI Services, Prompt Engineering techniques, and modern cloud-native architectures. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into intelligent AI experiences while ensuring compliance with security, governance, and Responsible AI standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI assistants and Copilot solutions using Microsoft Copilot technologies and Azure OpenAI Services.
- Build intelligent conversational experiences, virtual assistants, chatbots, and AI-powered automation workflows to support business operations and customer engagement.
- Develop and optimize prompts, instructions, and conversation flows to improve the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of AI-generated responses.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and external business applications through APIs and connectors.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices to support AI applications and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and enterprise knowledge retrieval mechanisms to improve response quality and contextual understanding.
- Work with structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring proper data handling, governance, and security practices are followed.
- Monitor AI application performance, conduct testing and validation, and continuously improve prompts, workflows, and model outputs.
- Implement security controls, data privacy standards, and Responsible AI practices to ensure ethical and compliant AI usage across the organization.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to AI strategy, solution design, and technology roadmaps.
- Stay up to date with advancements in Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot capabilities, Azure AI services, and emerging industry trends.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI Services.
- Solid understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI concepts, Prompt Engineering, and conversational AI design.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for AI application development and integration.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture, cloud-native application development, and distributed systems.
- Experience integrating solutions with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and other Microsoft ecosystem tools.
- Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI frameworks, data privacy regulations, and enterprise security standards.
- Experience with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and semantic search solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, Prompt Flow, or similar AI frameworks.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and Azure Storage.
- Experience developing enterprise AI solutions that leverage organizational knowledge bases and business data.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
- Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, Azure OpenAI, or Copilot-related certifications are highly desirable.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, AI solution development, or related technical roles.
- Proven experience delivering Generative AI or LLM-based solutions in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
