Develop and enhance an accounting foundation with appropriate people, systems, and processes that will allow the business to grow effectively over the coming years
In conjunction with the Senior Director of Accounting, direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual external and internal financial close and reporting processes
Provide information and insight to business unit leadership on financial performance, and proposed strategic and operational changes
Direct and lead accounting teams in the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide accounting policies and controls consistent with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Manage the relationship with the Company s external auditors to ensure a smooth annual and quarterly financial statement audit
Present key accounting issues and topics to the CFO and VP, Finance each quarter
Communicate pending changes in accounting rules and regulations to senior management which carry financial or operational implications and partner with senior management to resolve them
Lead change initiatives and process improvements within the accounting organization.
Skills/Requirements
Demonstrated accounting leadership in a growth-oriented business of comparable size, growth trajectory, and scope ($250M-$500M+).
Experience in publicly-traded or private equity-backed companies preferred.
Experience in a complex technology business is a must-have, ideally with significant data/analytics components.
Exceptional business acumen and operational skills; metrics-driven with an ability to set clear goals around the vision and growth strategy, drive the framework around ROI in investments, and execute.
Strong financial modeling, business planning, analysis, and presentation skills. Advanced data analytic skills are a must-have.
Excellent people management and team building skills. Track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling world class teams.
Strong financial systems experience including reporting applications, BI tools, and data mining.
