Position: IT Support Scheduling Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

Position Purpose

The Scheduling Engineer works closely with development teams to design, implement and maintain scheduling solutions that meet business requirements. The role ensures that releases are aligned with best practices, monitors deployments across higher environments, and provides ongoing production and testenvironment support, including incident handling and performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Incident Management

• Serve as the primary technical contact for internal and external teams for incidents beyond Level 1 scope, during business hours (08:0019:00 CSTA) and oncall periods.
• Maintain production scheduling tools in an operational state.
• Conduct rootcause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Asset & Performance Management

• Advise developers on production performance, conduct upstream performance testing and provide recommendations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including Level 1 procedures and the production documentation repository.
• Identify and propose technical or organisational improvements to enhance enduser quality.
• Perform technology watch activities relevant to scheduling and workflow orchestration.

Project Involvement

• Participate in project delivery within the scheduling domain, collaborating with Architecture and Project Management teams from design through production rollout.

Reporting & Governance

• Deliver regular activity reports to line management, highlighting operational metrics, incidents and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all activities comply with BNPPARIBAS Group standards for cost, deadline, security and quality.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

Experience

• Minimum five years of experience in production support or operations, with a solid background in scheduling and workflow orchestration.

Core Technical Competencies

• Advanced expertise with BMC ControlM v9.
• Intermediate knowledge of AXWAY Secure Transport or XFB Gateway.
• Advanced shell scripting (Unix/Linux) and DOS/Batch scripting.
• Solid understanding of Linux and Windows Server operating systems (conceptual or intermediate level).

Desirable Knowledge

• Oracle and Sybase database concepts.
• Basic networking concepts.
• Exposure to Tibco, ODI or similar dataintegration tools.
