About the Role
We are hiring a Contract Technical Sourcer to support a Bangalore-based recruiter in identifying top-tier software engineering and IT talent across India. This role is research-intensive and sourcing-driven, with the majority of time spent mapping talent markets and engaging both active and passive candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source high-quality software engineering and IT candidates across India using LinkedIn and alternative sourcing channels
- Conduct detailed talent mapping across target companies, competitors, and tech hubs
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs
- Leverage platforms such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, job boards, and professional communities to uncover talent
- Apply advanced sourcing techniques (Boolean search, internet research, networking) to identify passive candidates
- Partner closely with the assigned recruiter to align on hiring priorities and candidate profiles
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns to engage candidates and generate interest
- Maintain accurate data and sourcing activity in our ATS system (Ashby)
- Conduct basic candidate screening (resume review, initial qualification checks) as needed
- Support interview scheduling and coordination as needed
- Stay current on local talent market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor hiring activity
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience sourcing for technical roles (software engineering, IT) in India
- Strong expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter and alternative sourcing channels
- Proven ability to identify and engage passive candidates in competitive talent markets
- Experience working with ATS systems and recruitment tools
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a contract role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing for global or multinational companies and/or Ad Tech companies
- Familiarity with hiring across multiple Indian tech hubs (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, etc.)
- Exposure to candidate screening or interview coordination
