This is a contract Role & we use a global payroll partner to manage payroll for all contract opportunities with us. A proper background verification of past employments, criminal checks would be done for onboarding to any opportunity with WWT.

Title: Migration Readiness Analyst

Location: Remote with limited onsite in Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore as required

Duration: 12+ months (Mutually extendable basis business scope)

Work Model: Nightshift

Role Summary

Ensure applications are technically and operationally ready for migration from OpenShift on VMware to OpenShift on Bare Metal. Work directly with application teams to assess readiness, identify risks, and align migration schedules.

This is a senior individual contributor role, not entry level support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with application teams to perform premigration readiness checks
  • Validate configurations, dependencies, and migration prerequisites
  • Identify and track applicationlevel risks and blockers
  • Align application migration dates with overall wave plans
  • Maintain and validate readiness checklists and migration runbooks
  • Support coordination around change, outage windows, and cutover planning
  • Assist during test and production migration windows as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Handson experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of Helm, manifests, and configurations
  • Strong Linux and networking fundamentals
  • Experience supporting enterprise application migrations
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

Scope Boundaries

  • No ownership of application redesign or code changes
  • Focused on migration readiness and execution support, not BAU ops
