This is a contract Role & we use a global payroll partner to manage payroll for all contract opportunities with us. A proper background verification of past employments, criminal checks would be done for onboarding to any opportunity with WWT.

Location: Pune

Duration: 1 Year extendable

Role expectation:

  • Candidates should be able to understand requirements, do solutioning/design, and drive end-to-end delivery
  • Strong interaction with programme/project teams is expected

Skill focus:

  • F5 (Load Balancer) + Firewalls (must-have combination)
  • Firewalls across Fortinet / Cisco / Checkpoint (flexible on vendor, but fundamentals need to be strong)
  • Looking for candidates with depth in 1–2 areas, not siloed

Other aspects:

  • Hybrid working model
  • IST hours with alignment to global delivery (UK/US/APAC)
  • Weekend involvement expected for change execution

Network Engineer – Solution Design and Delivery

JD: This role is specifically intended to assist with project deliveries and will involve network changes that occur over the weekend.

Mandatory Skills

- Proven detailed experience in designing mid to large-scale network solutions

- Capable of bringing together expert knowledge from across the organization and consolidating into a cohesive end-to-end solution

- Strong communication and presentation skills for conveying complex solutions effectively.

- Experience collaborating within virtual teams in a complex network environment

- Comprehensive technical knowledge of major network infrastructure components utilized within the Barclays group (including data networks, firewalls, proxy, and load balancers).

- In Depth knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP

- Practical experience with Cisco products like Cisco ACI, Nexus platforms, Firepower/ASA.

- Expertise in F5 BIG-IP load balancers and virtualization platforms (VMware/AWS).

- working knowledge of Proxy

- Familiarity with Fortinet, Juniper, Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA firewalls.

- Familiarity with Automation / scripting

Preferred certifications:

- Cisco - CCIE/CCNP (R&S/security) certified

- FortiGate – FCNSA

- F5 – CTS-LTM, CTS-GTM

- Python, Ansible, shell scripting

- Change management

- ITIL process awareness – change, incident, and problem management
