About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager Private Label Beverages to drive growth in the Indian market by acquiring and managing private label and contract manufacturing business for carbonated and non-carbonated water-based beverages.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG beverage sales, a deep understanding of the Indian beverage ecosystem, and the ability to close long-term, high-volume B2B contracts with brands, retailers, distributors, and HoReCa clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales- Identify, develop, and close private label and contract manufacturing opportunities for:
- Carbonated soft drinks
- Flavoured water
- Non-carbonated water-based beverages
- Build a robust pipeline of Indian clients including:
- Beverage brands
- Retail chains & modern trade
- Distributors & super stockists
- HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafs, Catering companies)
- Actively generate leads through:
- Existing industry network
- Cold calling & email outreach
- Trade shows, exhibitions, and beverage industry events
- Distributor and retail contacts
Client & Account Management- Present and pitch end-to-end private label solutions, including:
- Product formulation options
- Packaging formats
- Pricing structures, MOQs, and lead times
- Negotiate commercial terms and close long-term supply contracts
- Manage key accounts and ensure repeat and volume-based business growth
Coordination & Compliance- Coordinate with internal teams such as:
- Production & bottling
- Quality Assurance
- Packaging & procurement
- Ensure all products meet FSSAI regulations, labeling norms, and quality standards
- Support clients during product approvals, trials, and commercial rollouts
Performance & Reporting- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Track sales performance, pipeline status, and client feedback
- Provide regular market insights and competitor analysis
Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Knowledge- 410 years of proven B2B sales or business development experience in FMCG beverages
- Strong understanding of the Indian beverage market, pricing, margins, and buyer expectations
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- PET bottles, cans, and other beverage packaging formats
- Carbonation processes and shelf-life considerations
- MOQ planning and cost structures
- Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and compliance requirements
Skills- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong relationship-building and account management ability
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Willingness to travel across India as required
Compensation & Benefits (India Market)Salary (Indicative Range)- 8,00,000 15,00,000 per annum (CTC)
- (Depending on experience, network, and past performance)
Commission & Incentives- 3% 6% commission on billed revenue from closed deals
