Role Description The Contract Manager will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts related to land acquisition, development projects, construction, and vendor engagements. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai will involve drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts to safeguard the company's commercial and legal interests. The Contract Manager will collaborate closely with legal, finance, sales, procurement, and project teams to ensure that contract terms are clear, compliant, and aligned with project timelines and budgets. Daily responsibilities include monitoring contract performance, tracking key milestones, managing renewals and amendments, and maintaining accurate contract documentation and records. The role will also involve identifying contractual risks, recommending mitigation strategies, supporting dispute resolution, and contributing to the development of standardized templates, policies, and processes for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of contract law, real estate regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to property development and construction.
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, agreements, and MOUs in the real estate or infrastructure sector.
  • Ability to analyze legal and commercial terms, assess risk, and propose balanced, practical solutions that protect organizational interests.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in maintaining contract databases, trackers, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office or similar tools for document preparation, version control, and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field; a law degree or contract management certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Chennai or broader Indian real estate market, including exposure to land deals, development approvals, and project contracts, is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple contracts simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
