About Versatile Club
Versatile Club is building the place where ambitious product, design, and tech talent finds their next great role. We work with fast-growing companies to match them with people who actually fit — not just on paper, but in how they think and work. We're a small, AI-native team moving fast and shipping in public.
The role
We're hiring our first Content Writer to own the voice of Versatile Club across the channels where our audience actually hangs out — Reddit first, then LinkedIn, X, our blog, and landing pages. You'll partner closely with our video collaborator and use AI as a co-writer, not a crutch, to ship culture-aware content that turns lurkers into members and members into evangelists. This is a fresher-friendly role with real ownership from day one: if you have taste, agency, and a point of view, you'll move fast here.
What you'll do
- Own our Reddit presence end-to-end: write, post, and engage in the subreddits where talent and hiring conversations live — in a way that feels native, not promotional.
- Draft concepts and turn them into polished posts, threads, landing-page copy, and short-form scripts in collaboration with our video person.
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and friends) to ship faster — drafting, refining, A/B testing — while keeping a clear human voice.
- Build landing pages with Claude (or similar) for new campaigns, role launches, and content drops; iterate based on engagement.
- Study what's working in culture (subreddits, YouTube, podcasts, indie newsletters) and adapt our style to match the moment without losing identity.
- Run small content experiments weekly and report back on what's resonating and why.
What We're Looking For
- Strong agency and ownership: you don't wait for briefs, you propose them. You ship without being chased.
- Comfort using AI as a writing partner — you've built things with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar, and you know where AI helps and where it gets in the way.
- Strong concept-drafting muscle and a clear design sense — you can spot good taste even if you don't execute the visuals yourself.
- A media diet that shows up in your work: thoughtful taste in movies, shows, writers, and creators you admire and learn from intentionally.
Nice to have
- Built a personal brand or audience anywhere (Reddit, X, Substack, YouTube).
- Hands-on experience shipping landing pages or microsites with no-code or AI tools.
- Comfort working closely with a video collaborator on storyboards or scripts.
- A portfolio of writing — drafts, posts, or weird side projects all count.
