Job Description

Company Description Opmaint is a modern maintenance and operations software platform designed for industrial teams that want to move beyond clipboards and spreadsheets. The company digitizes maintenance work, inspections, safety procedures, and compliance activities in one easy-to-use, mobile-ready solution. Built by people with shop-floor experience, Opmaint focuses on reducing unplanned downtime, improving asset availability, and supporting frontline teams across industries and regions. The platform enables organizations to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, safety workflows, training, and asset connections with real-time visibility across teams and sites. Opmaint serves customers worldwide with a simple, scalable product built for the people who actually use it.

We make deeply researched, sharply written content that turns the unglamorous world of factory maintenance into stories that manufacturing leaders actually read — and that Google and AI search engines actually cite.

Writing is the backbone of everything we produce. Before the landing page, the YouTube video, the comparison article, and the lead magnet, there's a piece of writing. And that writing has to do an absurd amount of heavy lifting: it needs to rank on search, get cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity, convince a plant head in a steel factory that his maintenance chaos has a fix, and make a boring B2B category genuinely interesting to read about. That's the job. If that excites you, keep reading.

Building SaaS in 2026 doesn't look like it did five years ago. Nobody's spraying 50 generic blog posts a month and praying. The game now is bottom-of-funnel precision, answer-engine optimization, founder-led distribution, and content that doubles as a sales asset. You'll be at the center of that — not producing filler, but building the content engine of an early-stage SaaS company with real paying customers.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Write bottom-of-funnel articles that win buying decisions — comparison pages, alternative pages, best CMMS for X roundups. These are our highest-leverage pages, and every one of them is built on real competitive research, not regurgitated feature lists
  • Script YouTube videos alongside the founder — the video and article versions of a topic work as one system, doubling our surface area on Google and in AI answers
  • Build lead magnets that sales actually uses — pricing guides, buyer checklists, industry playbooks that a maintenance head would genuinely save and share
  • Tear down competitors — dig through their pricing pages, G2 reviews, and docs to find the angles they can't defend, then turn that into content
  • Sharpen the message everywhere — homepage copy, landing pages, email sequences. If it has words and a reader, you'll have a hand in it
  • Track what works — watch rankings, AI citations, and conversions, then double down on what's moving the needle instead of chasing volume

What We're Looking For

Non-Negotiables:

  • You understand persuasion structure — how a comparison page, a listicle, or a landing page moves a reader from skeptical to convinced
  • You can simplify complex topics (CMMS, preventive maintenance, asset management) without dumbing them down
  • You have strong opinions and a distinct voice — corporate mush doesn't rank and doesn't convert
  • You think in search intent — you instinctively ask who's typing this query and what do they actually want
  • You're a relentless researcher — teardown a competitor's pricing page, dig through G2 reviews, interview a customer, and turn it all into an argument

Would Love to See:

  • Experience writing for B2B SaaS, SEO/content marketing, or long-form editorial
  • A genuine obsession with how things work — why factories run the way they do, why software categories get commoditized, what's really going on beneath a competitor's pricing page
  • Familiarity with AEO/GEO — you understand that AI search is rewriting the rules of content, and you find that exciting rather than terrifying
  • Background in journalism, copywriting, or technical writing
  • Ability to write with wit that's sharp, not forced — the kind that makes maintenance software more readable without undercutting the credibility
