Role Description
The Junior Content Writer will assist the Content Team with pre-production activities for client podcasts. This role involves research, ideation, script preparation support, documentation, and coordination needed to build strong podcast narratives. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and comprehension skills, a strong academic background in English, and a keen interest in digital media and podcasting.
What You'll Do
Content Research & Pre-Production
- Conduct topic research, fact-checking, and trend analysis across industries based on client briefs.
- Support the development of episode concepts, guest research, and theme exploration.
- Prepare research documents, content outlines, and briefing notes for scriptwriters and producers.
Writing & Documentation
- Draft introductory copy, show notes, and segment descriptors for podcast episodes.
- Assist in creating content calendars, pre-production sheets, and client-facing documents.
- Support the scriptwriting team by compiling references, story angles, and talking points.
Coordination & Support
- Collaborate with the production and creative teams to ensure alignment on content direction.
- Organize research repositories, client documents, and creative materials efficiently.
- Support Content Leads during brainstorming sessions and internal reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a major in English, Journalism, or related field (mandatory).
- 1-2 years of experience in content writing or research, preferably in media, advertising, or digital content.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to research deeply, synthesize information, and present it clearly.
- Interest in podcasts, storytelling, and brand communication.
- Basic understanding of content strategy, scripting formats, and digital platforms is a plus.
