Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Write compelling, on-brand copy for email campaigns and WhatsApp communications — including subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs, and conversational message sequences — tailored to different stages of the student enquiry and enrolment journey.
• Develop content for multi-step CRM journeys — understanding the logic of nurture sequences, trigger-based messaging, and audience segmentation well enough to write copy that fits the right moment in the right tone.
• Adapt tone, length, and format for the channel — email copy and WhatsApp messages are fundamentally different in register and rhythm; this role requires fluency in both.
• Collaborate closely with the SFMC Ops and CRM strategy teams to ensure content is briefed accurately, delivered on time, and aligned with journey logic and segmentation requirements.
• Support A/B testing of copy variants — writing alternative subject lines, message hooks, and CTAs, and using performance data to develop a sharper instinct for what works.
• Maintain and evolve the brand voice across all CRM touchpoints — ensuring consistency across every university partner, programme type, and audience segment.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of content writing experience, with a meaningful portion spent writing for CRM channels — email in particular; WhatsApp content experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong command of persuasive, conversion-focused writing — able to write with clarity, warmth, and urgency without sounding promotional; understands that the best CRM copy doesn't read like marketing.
• Good understanding of CRM journey logic, not just writing individual pieces but appreciating how copy fits into a sequence, a trigger, and an audience segment.
• Ability to write for multiple audience segments and adapt tone accordingly
• Data awareness — comfortable reviewing open rates, CTR, and conversion data to understand what copy is working and what needs to change; does not require deep analytics skills but must be curious about performance.
• Background in Ed-tech, consumer internet, or multi brand environment is preferred; the ability to make complex propositions feel accessible and exciting is central to this role.
