We're seeking a versatile and skilled Content Writer and Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing and a strong understanding of various writing styles, including news reporting, strategic communication, case studies, and application materials. You'll produce high-quality written work tailored to clients across multiple platforms and audiences. You'll be expected to do careful research and deliver drafts that require minimal restructuring.

If you don't have an existing fitting sample for a category, you may submit an original piece instead.
What you'll write
Reported & news-style pieces
Research, write, and edit articles on a wide range of topics. Work may involve sourcing, background research (including staying current on relevant news), and synthesizing complex or technical information into clear, readable coverage.
Strategic letters and communications
Draft persuasive, polished correspondence for business and public-facing needs, including stakeholder outreach, proposals, recommendations, and communications with institutions or government entities.
Applications and submissions
Write concise, high-impact materials for awards, memberships, judging opportunities, and similar applications. Emphasis is on representing a client's achievements and qualifications accurately, and in a way that best fits the submission.
Case studies and client narratives
Developing detailed case studies that highlight successful projects, initiatives, or solutions implemented by our clients. This includes interviewing stakeholders, gathering supporting detail, and presenting results in a credible and compelling narrative.
What we're looking for
Strong writing across formats: You can adjust voice and structure to fit the audience and purpose without losing clarity.
Research and synthesis: You can gather information from a diverse range of sources, evaluate what matters and is appropriate for the material, and produce writing that reflects sound judgment.
Accuracy and attention to detail: Accurate facts, names, dates, tone, and consistency are non-negotiable, and you know how to verify claims.
Reliability under deadlines: You can manage multiple projects and deliver on time.
Clear communication: You collaborate well and incorporate feedback efficiently. You ask questions early when requirements aren't fully defined.
Adaptability: You can work across topics and clients, and you're comfortable with ambiguity.
