Job Description

JOB TITLE: Ecommerce Content Strategist

Location: Gurugram

Department: Ecommerce

Reporting To: Head of Ecommerce

Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level (6-8 Years)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Digital Ecommerce Content Strategy

  • Own the Perfect Digital Store (PDS) execution across Amazon, Flipkart for multiple product portfolios.
  • Assess assortment completeness, content quality, search visibility, creatives and Reviews and Ratings; translate briefs into prioritised action plans with defined owners and timelines.
  • Govern Digital Shelf standards across listings—including A+ Content, Brand Store, and catalogue hygiene—ensuring a consistent brand narrative that improves organic discoverability and conversion.

2. New Product Launch (NPI) & Engagement Planning (Core Focus)

  • Explore and plan activities centered around key selling points for every new product launch.
  • Optimize material quality, copywriting, and develop resource exposure strategies to win platform contests and engagement visibility wars.
  • Manage specific launch content elements including product storytelling, feature highlights, RPD (Rich Product Description), and SEO-friendly FAQs.
  • Spearhead NPI launch strategies for new SKUs across categories, ensuring shelf-ready listings and search-optimised content from Day 1.

3. Traffic Conversion & Activity Integration

  • Integrate sales, marketing and GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies to meet product activity goals (traffic, conversion, NM sales).
  • Manage banner planning and landing page coordination for major sales events (Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, Days).
  • Own FSN creation and manage critical metrics including CTR, NM and search performance.

4. Content Asset Management & IMC

  • Participate in IMC discussions with a deep understanding of s product features.
  • Conduct material thinking by optimizing scenes, copywriting, and storylines to increase consumer interest and conversion rates.
  • Ensure all ecommerce content assets (images, videos, A+) are platform-optimized and aligned with brand voice.

5. Market Insight & Project Management

  • Analyze key visuals, details, and resource positioning within the mobile phone industry (specifically Flipkart & Amazon) to identify new site functions and benchmark competitor success.
  • Act as a project manager to own and execute complete launch and event projects from end to end, coordinating with category, creative, and platform teams.

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ecommerce Platforms: Candidate should be aware of platform content ops work especially for Amazon and Flipkart
  • Content & Listing Tools: Candidate should be able to explore goodness of AI tools
  • Soft Skills: Project Management, Team Leadership, Capability Building, Platform Relationship Management

REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications & Experience)

  • Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in the e-commerce industry (mandatory).
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project lifecycles, content strategy, and performance metrics
  • Portfolio: Must be able to provide examples of successful product launches on Flipkart/Amazon where you led content strategy and contest planning.
