Role Overview
We're looking for a creative Content Specialist who brings powerful Instagram stories to life not just an editor, but a director who can guide shoots, craft compelling visuals, and turn ideas into high-performing content. Strong skills in video editing, motion graphics, and 2D/3D animation are essential, along with a sharp eye for storytelling and trends.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
- Ideate, script, direct, shoot, and edit original video content independently for Instagram (Reels, Stories, Carousels, Lives) acting as both director and creator
- Create visually compelling self-filmed videos that reflect both personal brand aesthetics and company messaging
- Develop a consistent content calendar and publish high-quality videos on a regular cadence.
- Use trending audio, transitions, text overlays, and effects to maximize reach and engagement
- Collaborate closely with Training and Marketing teams to understand content requirements and deliver within defined timelines
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, visual identity standards, and communication objectives
- Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and emerging digital formats to enhance engagement and content quality
Other Requirements
- Active Instagram account with a minimum of 1,000 genuine followers (account link mandatory in application)
- The position requires 1-3 years of professional experience in video production and post-production
- Experience working with D2C brands, retail, fashion, beauty, or lifestyle categories.
- Knowledge of multi-platform content repurposing (YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.).
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D motion graphics and advanced visual effects.
- Familiarity with Social Media content creation, optimization, and digital engagement metrics.
- Demonstrated experience in creating self-shot, self-edited video content that has driven measurable engagement.
- Proficiency in mobile video editing apps (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Rush) and/or desktop tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong directorial and communication skills ability to guide subjects on posing, expressions, and on-camera delivery to achieve the desired look and feel.
- Deep understanding of Instagram's algorithm, Reels format, trending audio, and growth mechanics.
- Strong creative eye for shot composition, framing, colour grading, typography, and aesthetic consistency.
