Job Description

SOLARA | Hyderabad | On-site

At SOLARA, we make products people actually love using - air fryers that changed how India cooks, cast iron that gets passed down, blenders & juicers that make healthy feel effortless. We're a D2C brand built on smart design, fair prices, and a community that genuinely cares about how they live at home.

Now we need someone to make people feel all of that through a screen.

What this role actually is

You're not a scheduler. You're not a caption writer. You're the person who looks at a cold press juicer and immediately sees three reels, a collab, and a content series - and then goes and makes them.

You'll own SOLARA's presence across Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. You'll be on camera when the moment calls for it. You'll write scripts that make people stop, watch, and want. And you'll build partnerships with exciting brands.

What you'll own

Content & Strategy

  • Build and drive the content calendar: launches, trends, campaigns, and the everyday moments that keep the brand alive
  • Develop platform-native formats for Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn - reels, shorts, carousels, long-form, whatever the moment needs
  • Script with intention. Every piece of content should make someone feel something or do something
  • Show up on camera naturally - you're comfortable being a face of the brand, not just the brain behind it
  • Catch trends early and move fast enough to make them ours before they're everyone's

Production

  • Partner with our creative and editing teams from idea to publish
  • Brief clearly, give sharp feedback, and hold the line on brand voice
  • Own the output quality - if it goes out with our name on it, it should be something we're proud of

Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Spot brands, creators, and communities that belong in SOLARA's world
  • Pitch, build, and manage collaborations that grow our reach and deepen brand love
  • Think beyond one-off posts - build relationships that compound over time

Performance

  • Track what matters: reach, engagement, watch time, saves, follower quality
  • Know the difference between vanity metrics and signals that actually mean something
  • Bring a clear point of view to the team - not just data, but what to do about it

Who you are

You genuinely love food. Not performatively - you're the person who notices the lighting in a cooking video, who has thoughts about why that reel got 2M views, who gets unreasonably excited about a new kitchen gadget.

You think in stories, not posts. You're data-aware without being data-paralysed. You're confident on camera without being a caricature. You've probably already been creating content somewhere - for a brand, for yourself, for fun.

Experience level matters less than depth of understanding. We'd rather have someone two years in who truly gets the craft than someone five years in who's been going through the motions.

You'll need:

  • A real grasp of what's working on Instagram and YouTube right now - not six months ago
  • Comfort being on camera: natural energy, not performed enthusiasm
  • The ability to write a script, build a brief, and give feedback that makes the work better
  • Understanding of core metrics and what they actually tell you
  • Some experience with or strong instinct for brand collaborations

Bonus if you have:

  • A personal content presence or creator portfolio
  • Experience at a D2C or consumer brand
  • Basic editing skills - enough to communicate a vision even if someone else executes it
