About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Social Media Content Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building and scaling our platform by driving growth initiatives, optimizing user acquisition and retention, and enhancing cross-platform engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop compelling content for all major social media platforms
- Spot and capitalize on trending topics, breaking news, and viral moments
- Optimize reach and engagement using analytics and social listening tools
- Work with designers and video producers to create high-performing multimedia content
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in producing social media content (preferably in a newsroom)
- Deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behaviour
- Strong storytelling skills—can turn complex news into engaging, viral content
- Proficiency in social media analytics, scheduling tools, and engagement tracking
- Experience in multimedia content production and editing (short-form videos, graphics, live updates)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment with tight deadlines
