Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Review and Moderation:Reviewing user-generated content across various formats (text, images, videos, audio) to ensure compliance with platform guidelines and policies.
  • Enforcement of Policies:Identifying and removing content that violates platform rules, including hate speech, harassment, illegal content, spam, scams, and other harmful or offensive material.
  • Reporting and Escalation:Reporting suspicious or problematic content to appropriate teams for further review or action.
  • User Report Handling:Addressing user reports of content violations, resolving disputes, and explaining moderation decisions to users.
  • Policy Interpretation and Application:Understanding and applying platform policies and guidelines consistently and fairly.
  • Collaboration and Communication:Collaborating with other teams (e.g., product, legal, engineering) to improve moderation tools, processes, and policies.
  • Continuous Improvement:Identifying opportunities to improve content moderation workflows and effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent English Language Skills: Strong comprehension and communication skills are essential for understanding and applying policies.
  • Strong Critical Thinking and Judgment: The ability to assess content and make decisions about whether it violates policies.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to carefully review content and identify potential violations.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of different cultural contexts and the ability to navigate nuanced content.
  • Understanding of Social Media and Online Communities: Familiarity with the online landscape and how users interact.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: The ability to handle a high volume of content and respond to urgent situations.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: The ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with others.
