Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM Content Manager (CM/CM8) platforms
- Work within Enterprise Content Management (ECM) ecosystems, including integrations with external systems
- Act as a leading resolver during production incidents and client escalations
- Perform problem determination, root cause analysis, and permanent fix implementation
- Analyze logs and traces across application, middleware, and database layers
- Support product implementation phases through remote troubleshooting and guidance
- Document findings, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to automation and support tooling
- Interact directly with enterprise customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Participate in on-call / shift support aligned to UK business hours
- Manage SLA / OLA adherence, reporting, performance metrics, and capacity planning
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and automation
Must‑Have Skills
- 5+ years hands-on experience with IBM Content Manager architecture
- Strong expertise in CM installation and configuration, including:
- Library Server
- Resource Manager
- Application Groups
- Storage Sets
- Experience with CM8 deployments, configuration, and administration
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Item Types
- Workflows
- ACLs
- Storage Policies
- Strong understanding of CMOD indexing, retrieval, and archival processes
- Experience with APIs / SDKs (ODWEK, REST APIs) for CMOD integration
- Database knowledge: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and their interaction with CMOD/CM
- Expertise in log analysis, trace interpretation, and RCA
- Experience in WebSphere and DB2 debugging and diagnostics
- Good knowledge of Windows, Linux, AIX/UNIX administration and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning and capacity planning
- Strong understanding of Library Server and Resource Manager best practices for scalability and stability
