Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Content Developer to develop high-quality study material for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam administered by the AICPA. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating mock exams, practice question banks, and formula/concept flashcards across all six sections of the CPA exam; three Core sections: Auditing & Attestation (AUD), Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR), and Taxation & Regulation (REG); and all three Discipline sections: Business Analysis & Reporting (BAR), Information Systems & Control (ISC), and Tax Compliance & Planning (TCP), aligned with the latest AICPA Exam Blueprint and designed to support serious CPA candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Create 2 full-length mock exams per section across all six sections: Core (AUD, FAR, REG) and Discipline (BAR, ISC, TCP), following the official AICPA exam format, question types (MCQs and Task-Based Simulations), and difficulty.
  • Develop a comprehensive practice question bank for each section, organized topic-wise (e.g., Ethics & Independence, Audit Procedures, Financial Statements, Business Environment, Federal Taxation), with answer keys and detailed explanations.
  • Prepare formula and concept flashcards covering key accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS), tax rules, auditing standards, and financial ratios tested across all sections.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the latest AICPA Exam Blueprint, pronouncements, and guidelines for AUD, FAR, REG, BAR, ISC, and TCP.
  • Review and revise content based on editorial feedback to maintain accuracy and consistency across all levels.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to ensure appropriate difficulty distribution and topic coverage across all sections and proficiency levels.

Skills:

  • Strong command over CPA exam subjects, including Financial Accounting (US GAAP/IFRS), Auditing & Attestation, Federal Taxation, Business Analysis & Reporting, Information Systems & Controls, and Tax Compliance & Planning across all six sections.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate, and unambiguous MCQs and structured questions.
  • Familiarity with the AICPA Exam Blueprint, official study materials, and exam structure for all six CPA sections: Core (AUD, FAR, REG) and Discipline (BAR, ISC, TCP).
  • Attention to detail in accounting standards, tax code references, audit pronouncements, and answer justifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, and MS Excel for content development and formatting.
  • Strong written English communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Cleared all required CPA sections - Core sections (AUD, FAR, REG) and at least one Discipline section (BAR, ISC, or TCP); candidates with expertise across all six sections are preferred.
  • Prior experience in content writing, tutoring, question development, or academic content creation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the AICPA exam structure, section-wise weightage, and topic distribution across AUD, FAR, REG, BAR, ISC, and TCP.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality, structured content in accordance with provided guidelines and editorial standards.
