Elevate user engagement through strategic content design, fostering inclusive and intuitive digital experiences.

As a Content Design Vice President in consumer and community banking, you will develop and execute content plans for inclusive, usable product experiences and play a pivotal role in shaping customer experiences through content. Lead strategically important initiatives, drive innovative solutions to complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Leverage your expertise in content design and content architecture and provide guidance and direction in the narrative structure of products and services. Create engaging, user-friendly content that effectively communicates complex concepts to a diverse audience. Champion inclusive design and customer experience and contribute to the success of JPMorgan Chase's user experience design efforts.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and drive content strategy, advocate for the customer, and ensurealignment with business requirements and user experience goals
  • Collaborate with design, product, and research to develop consistent voice and narrative structures across products and services
  • Champion inclusive language for a diverse audience, ensure seamless, positive interactions throughout the customer journey
  • Execute and deliver content solutions that follow best practices, adhere to controls processes, and fulfill project requirements-including business goals, customer needs, deadlines, and quality standards
  • Ideate, discover, and iterate to validate customer problems and deliver customer-centric solutions

  • Participate in customer research to understand user needs and behaviors, partnering with Experience Researchers to evaluate and refine content solutions
  • Synthesize multiple data sources-including research findings and analytics-to inform and strengthen content strategy
  • Deliver content components (UI language, product education, taxonomies, etc.) and lead content governance and approvals process
  • Present work confidently and articulate the strategy and measurable impact of content decisions to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to and help evolve content and AI systems, including standards, voice and tone guidelines, messaging frameworks, knowledge databases, and accessibility libraries

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in content design, editing, writing, strategy, process, and information architecture, with a strong focus on digital products and platforms
  • Exceptional written and verbal storytelling skills, with a proven ability to craft clear, compelling content that simplifies complex concepts for diverse audiences while adhering to industry standards and best practices
  • Proactive, self-directed mindset with the ability to independently plan, structure, and prioritize work while consistently delivering at the expected level of quality
  • Experience collaborating within design teams-including Product Designers, UX Researchers,and fellow Content Designers-as well as cross-functionally with Product Managers and Software Engineers
  • Experience facilitating workshops for product and experience design, creating compelling content journeys
  • Deep understanding of content platforms and their impact on user experience,with the ability to make informed, strategic content decisions based on tech capabilities and constraints
  • Proven ability to connect business value and product strategy to content design decisions
  • Comfortable and confident presenting work to stakeholders, clearly articulating content strategy, and thoughtfully incorporating feedback to strengthen outcomes
  • Thorough command of the English language (American), including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage, with a keen eye for detail and consistency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with compliance-driven content workflows, including the ability to coordinate across legal, accessibility, and regulatory teams to ensure content meets organizational and industry standards
