Job Description

Job Title: Content Creator

Location: Dehradun

Experience: 0–3 Years

Please note: This is a short-term contractual role for a duration of 8 months.

About Varahe Analytics:

Varahe Analytics is one of India's premier integrated political consulting firms specializing in building data-driven 360-degree election campaigns. We help our clients with strategic advice and implementation, combining data-backed insights and in-depth ground intelligence into a holistic electoral campaign.

We are passionate about our democracy and the politics that shape our world. We draw on some of the sharpest minds from distinguished institutions and diverse professional backgrounds to help us achieve our goal of building electoral strategies that spark conversations, effect change, and help shape electoral and legislative ecosystems in our country.

About the Team:

We are not looking for a traditional content creator. We are looking for someone who understands politics like an old political observer and understands content like a Gen Z creator.

Someone who knows what happened in Parliament, what is trending on Instagram, why a YouTube video went viral, and how to turn all of that into content people actually watch.

If you spend your time switching between political news, podcasts, reels, YouTube explainers, memes, and social media trends, keep reading.

What Would This Role Entail

  • Write scripts for Reels, Shorts, YouTube videos, and digital campaigns.
  • Turn complex political and governance topics into simple, engaging content.
  • Write social media copy, captions, carousel text, and communication material.
  • Track trends, narratives, and conversations across digital platforms.
  • Work closely with designers, editors, and researchers.
  • Create basic creatives using Canva and communicate effectively with video editors using tools like CapCut.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong command of both Hindi and English.
  • Genuine interest in politics, governance, current affairs, and public narratives.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and internet culture.
  • Familiarity with Canva and basic video editing workflows.
  • Ability to think like a creator, not just a writer.
  • Someone who can work fast, learn fast, and take ownership.

Necessary Skills:

You must be able to write high-quality Hindi content independently.

We are not looking for candidates who rely on ChatGPT, Google Translate, or AI tools to write Hindi. AI can be used for research and assistance, but the ability to think, write, and edit in natural Hindi must come from you.

Candidates will be required to complete a live writing test in both Hindi and English without the use of AI tools.

If you cannot independently write a compelling Hindi script, caption, article, or social media post, this role is not the right fit.

Good to Have Skills:

  • Have run a page, channel, meme account, newsletter, or podcast.
  • Follow elections, policy, and political developments closely.
  • Understand music, pacing, hooks, retention, and storytelling.
  • Can spot a trend before everyone else does.

If you can explain a political issue in a way that your parents understand and your friends want to share, we'd love to hear from you.
