About The Opportunity
Entertainment & Digital Media Streaming and Original Scripted Content (Web Series). We acquire, commission and curate premium episodic content for fast-growing OTT platforms targeting pan-India and global audiences. This on-site role in India drives content sourcing, deal-making and catalogue growth for a high-velocity streaming content pipeline.
Primary Title: Content Acquisition Manager (Web Series)
Role & Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate web-series IP, pilots and scripts across regional and pan-India markets to build a competitive content slate aligned to audience and platform strategy.
- Lead commercial negotiations and close licensing, distribution and first-look agreements with producers, studios and independent creators.
- Manage deal economics and content budgetsprepare commercial models, term sheets and ROI assessments to prioritise acquisitions.
- Coordinate legal, clearances and rights management with internal legal and external counsel to ensure clean acquisitions and delivery milestones.
- Own relationships with showrunners, production houses and talent; manage intake, creative fit assessments and delivery timelines for commissioned projects.
- Track content performance and intake metrics; iterate acquisition criteria based on consumption, retention and genre trends.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience in content acquisition or content partnerships for OTT/streaming platforms or studios
- Demonstrable expertise in Content Licensing
- Contract Negotiation skills for media rights and distribution deals
- Digital Rights Management knowledge and handling of clearance workflows
- Script Coverage and creative assessment capability for episodic formats
- Practical experience with OTT Distribution models and commercial structures
Preferred
- Familiarity with Content Metadata & CMS tools and content delivery pipelines
- Experience with international co-productions or format licensing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and deal analysis
