Job Description

Designation: Consumer Insights & Analytics Manager

Location: Mumbai Nariman Point (Work from Office, 5 days)

Experience: 4–6 years

Role Overview

TBZ – The Original is one of India's most trusted and iconic jewellery brands, celebrated for its craftsmanship, design leadership, and 160-year legacy. We are looking for a sharp, analytically minded professional to own its retail data, customer intelligence, and insights.

The person will work closely with Brand Marketing, CRM, Retail Operations, and Leadership to turn transaction data, walk-in patterns, and customer behaviour into clear, actionable stories that drive decisions. You will be the go-to person for understanding who our customers are, how they shop, what brings them in, and what keeps them coming back.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Transaction Data Analysis

  • Analyse POS, billing, and transaction data to surface trends in sales performance, product mix, ticket sizes, and purchase frequency
  • Track and report on store-level metrics — walk-ins, conversion rates, average transaction value, and repeat purchase rates — on a regular cadence
  • Identify seasonality patterns, peak periods, and campaign-driven footfall shifts to support merchandising and planning decisions

Customer Intelligence & Segmentation

  • Build and maintain customer segmentation models — RFM, LTV, occasion-based, and behavioural — integrating data from CRM, loyalty, billing, and in-store interactions into a single customer view
  • Track CLV, churn risk, reactivation rates, and retention cohorts; flag high-value and at-risk segments for targeted outreach
  • Analyse walk-in patterns by store, time, occasion, and customer type to inform staffing and experience decisions

Campaign & Activity Impact Analysis

  • Measure the impact of marketing campaigns, events, product launches, and seasonal activations on walk-ins, conversions, and sales using pre/post and A/B frameworks
  • Close learning loops — ensure every major initiative has a clear post-analysis that feeds back into future planning

Dashboards & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI / Tableau or equivalent) for store performance, customer health, and campaign outcomes; automate recurring reports
  • Own periodic insight cadence – outputs must tell a story, not just showcase numbers

Data Management & Integrity

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across sources — POS, CRM, loyalty, and digital touchpoints; Structure and clean raw data for downstream analysis
  • Work with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure the right data infrastructure is in place
  • Build and maintain a centralized repository of past analyses, benchmarks, and insight playbooks to avoid duplication

Who We Are Looking For

Experience & Background

  • 4–6 years of experience in analytics, consumer insights, or business intelligence roles
  • Brand side experience in retail, luxury, FMCD, hospitality or consumer goods is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on with transactional and CRM data (not just survey/research data); demonstrated ability to turn raw data into a clear business recommendation
  • Sound understanding of retail KPIs: conversion rate, ATV, footfall, repeat rate, LTV, sell-through
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in marketing or data analytics is a plus, not mandatory
  • Experience in market research studies is an added advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills — pivot tables, advanced formulas, cohort analysis
  • Working knowledge of at least one visualization tool: Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and loyalty program data structures is an advantage
  • Familiarity with AI/ GenAI tools to accelerate analysis and reporting workflows is a must

Communication & Stakeholder Skills

  • Translates data into plain language, strong deck making – insights must land with leadership
  • Proactive in flagging opportunities and risks; not just reactive to requests
  • Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
