Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Consulting Technical Manager, you will lead and deliver development, implementation, or managed service projects for Oracle FLEXCUBE and other core banking solutions. You will guide a small team or operate individually on complex assignments, collaborating with clients and Oracle teams to advance successful adoption of cutting-edge banking technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role offering direct client interaction, technical solutioning, and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1016 years total experience, with at least 8 years in key technical and leadership roles in banking technology (FLEXCUBE/Core Banking).
  • Significant experience designing, developing, implementing, or supporting core banking applications, particularly Oracle FLEXCUBE.
  • Hands-on expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, JavaScript, XML, and familiarity with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Oracle Database (18c/12c).
  • Experience with software deployment and troubleshooting, especially with Oracle Weblogic and source control tools.
  • Strong understanding of release methodologies, and software/programming best practices.
  • Proven ability to interact with client technical teams, lead meetings and workshops, present technical solutions, and manage project risks.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and documentation skills in English.
  • Willingness to work in shifts/rotation, travel to client sites as required, and pursue technical certifications (such as FLEXCUBE).

Good-to-Have:


  • Experience with JAVA, SOA, Webservices, Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, Oracle Fusion SOA Suite, middleware, DevOps, and testing tools.
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in designing solution architectures for enterprise-scale projects.
  • Awareness of latest technology and financial industry trends.

Responsibilities


  • Lead and mentor a team of 25 members (or work independently), overseeing project streams such as Development, Implementation, Migration, Integration, or Managed Services.
  • Analyze client business requirements; provide solution fitment, estimates, and high-quality design documentation or product walkthroughs.
  • Review and ensure the quality of functional, technical, and unit test deliverables produced by your team.
  • Guide team members in delivering technical design specifications, coding, unit testing, and best practice adoption.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, product, support, and offshore teams, to deliver work on time and within budget.
  • Ensure adherence to Oracle's and clients standards, project processes, change control, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and complete timesheet/expense submissions as required.
  • Conduct thorough knowledge transfer and handover at assignment completion.
