About the Role

The Consulting Architect is responsible for leading customer-facing solution consulting, implementation strategy, and technical governance for IAN products and solutions. The role serves as the trusted advisor to customers, translating business objectives and operational requirements into scalable workflow, integration, configuration, and cloud deployment solutions. Working closely with Program Managers, Business Analysts, Implementation Architects, Product Teams, DevOps Engineers, and Customer Stakeholders, the Consulting Architect ensures successful solution adoption, delivery excellence, and alignment with platform capabilities and roadmap objectives. This is an Individual Contributor role with no direct personnel management responsibilities. Success in this position is driven by technical leadership, customer engagement, solution architecture expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:-

  • Lead customer discovery workshops, solution assessments, and implementation planning activities.
  • Translate approved solution architectures into implementation roadmaps, technical delivery plans, deployment strategies, and operational models.
  • Define end-to-end solution architecture covering workflows, integrations, configuration models, security, and deployment approaches.
  • Act as the primary customer-facing technical advisor throughout implementation and support engagements.
  • Define integration strategies involving enterprise applications, APIs, third-party platforms, and data migration requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Implementation Architects to translate business requirements into scalable implementation designs.
  • Review customer-specific configuration approaches, governance models, and operational processes.
  • Support technical solution reviews, steering committee meetings, and executive stakeholder discussions.
  • Identify and mitigate implementation risks, technical dependencies, architecture gaps, and delivery challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in steering committee meetings, executive reviews, technical governance forums, and customer stakeholder discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with platform capabilities and product roadmap priorities.
  • Ensure implementation approaches adhere to architecture standards, security controls, performance expectations, and operational best practices.
  • Support multiple concurrent customer engagements and strategic implementation programs.

Qualifications: -

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 15–20 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Consulting, Enterprise Software Implementations, or Digital Transformation initiatives.

Required Skills:-

  • Strong experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain; Knowledge of Commercial Lines and Specialty Insurance, considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise software implementations and large-scale business transformation initiatives.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise web-based applications and distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with Java technologies, including Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and enterprise application development.
  • Strong experience with BPMN-based workflow automation and business process orchestration platforms such as Camunda, Flowable, jBPM or similar technologies.
  • Good understanding of decision automation, business rules management, FEEL, DMN, or similar decision modeling frameworks.
  • Strong experience with Apache Camel, enterprise integration patterns, middleware architectures, and API-led connectivity.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures, microservices, containerized deployments, and Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and release governance.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, or similar security standards.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working with insurance carriers and clients across North America or Europe.
  • Experience with form.io or similar low-code/no-code form platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled workflow automation, intelligent document processing, and decision automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated willingness to drive cross-functional architecture initiatives spanning workflow automation, integrations, business rules, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
