Position Overview

  • Sagility is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Director – Consulting & Strategic Solutions to help scale and institutionalize the Consulting practice. This is a high-visibility leadership role within a rapidly growing healthcare consulting capability and will play a critical role in driving consulting engagements, client advisory initiatives, operational transformation programs, and practice development.
  • The role requires a strong blend of consulting expertise, healthcare domain knowledge, stakeholder management, program leadership, and solution-oriented thinking. The individual will work closely with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership teams to deliver measurable business impact across strategic engagements.
  • This is a hybrid role with both client-facing and internal practice-building responsibilities. While new logo acquisition is not the primary focus, the individual is expected to identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships and contribute to strategic business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting & Client Delivery Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic consulting engagements from inception through successful execution and closure.
  • Drive multiple complex workstreams across healthcare transformation programs while ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders by providing strategic insights, actionable recommendations, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions, workshops, steering committee meetings, and client presentations.
  • Oversee project governance including scope management, risk mitigation, dependency tracking, escalation management, and budget oversight.
  • Ensure delivery excellence through structured project management methodologies and consulting best practices.
  • Strategic Advisory & Solutioning
  • Develop high-impact consulting deliverables including executive presentations, operating models, transformation strategies, business cases, process improvement recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Support strategic client pursuits by contributing to solution development, proposal creation, and consulting-led narratives.
  • Create thought leadership assets, industry point-of-view (POV) documents, market insights, and transformation frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and expanded engagement within existing accounts.
  • Practice Development & Enablement
  • Contribute to the growth and institutionalization of the Consulting practice through capability building and knowledge management initiatives.
  • Enhance consulting assets including playbooks, frameworks, delivery methodologies, case studies, proposal repositories, and reusable accelerators.
  • Support organizational strategic initiatives such as healthcare consulting academies, workforce upskilling programs, and internal transformation efforts.
  • Curate and drive quarterly practice newsletters, leadership updates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants and project teams to strengthen consulting capabilities across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional experience with significant exposure to consulting, strategic transformation, or healthcare operations.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a reputed institution.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, including healthcare payers, providers, and PBMs.
  • Proven experience leading complex consulting engagements, transformation programs, or enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Exceptional program and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop executive-ready presentations, strategic recommendations, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience managing senior client stakeholders and leading business discussions independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with a solution-oriented and consultative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with leading consulting firms, healthcare consulting organizations, GCCs, healthcare BPOs, or digital transformation organizations.
  • Exposure to operational excellence, customer experience transformation, digital enablement, automation, analytics, AI-led transformation, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with consulting toolkits and governance frameworks including project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, PMO structures, and transformation dashboards.
  • Experience working with analytics, visualization tools, or data-driven decision-making frameworks.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations across Claims, Clinical, Contact Center, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Care Management, or Provider Operations.
  • Exposure to technology transformation initiatives including workflow optimization, automation, AI, or digital operations.
