Fivetran Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fivetran Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise data integration solutions using Fivetran and modern cloud data platforms. The role involves building scalable and reliable ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple business systems, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytics and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Fivetran, SQL, cloud data warehousing, and data engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran.
Configure and manage Fivetran connectors for SaaS applications, databases, and cloud-based data sources.
Implement scalable ELT solutions to support analytics tasets.
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting processes.
Support data migration and modernization initiatives.
Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell scripting.
Maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.
Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Fivetran implementation and administration.
Experience configuring and managing Fivetran connectors across multiple source systems.
Strong understanding of ELT and ETL concepts and data integration best practices.
Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with DBT or similar data transformation tools.
Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for automation and operational support.
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Understanding of Change Data Capture and incremental data loading strategies.
Familiarity with Git-based source control and CI/CD processes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
