Job Title: Consultant Trainee - Engineering Cost and Sourcing
Job Description
Join our team as a Consultant Trainee specializing in Engineering Cost and Sourcing, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting cost tracking and program management within the automotive industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, interacting with cross-functional teams and gaining hands-on experience in cost management, sourcing, and governance.
Experience Range : 0 - 2 years
Responsibilities
- Assist in updating and maintaining program cost status, tracking Risks & Opportunities (R&O) from Program Start to Job 1.
- Learn the automotive change management process and assist in maintaining the program Change Tracker.
- Prepare documentation for Commodity Change Management Forms (CMF).
- Facilitate and document key cross-functional meetings involving Finance, Purchasing, and Cost Estimation.
- Assist in gathering detailed quotes from suppliers and coordinate with internal Cost Estimation teams to compile data for cost approvals.
- Verify supplier Engineering Design & Testing (ED&T) against the Engineering Statement of Work (ESOW) and track approvals through the governance board.
- Monitor and report Tooling and Purchase Order (PO) status to key stakeholders.

- High learning agility and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of using CAD tools (e.g., Teamcenter, CATIA) to view, measure, and analyze 3D models and drawings.
- Strong foundational understanding of core engineering concepts, manufacturing processes (moulding, casting, stamping, assembly), and automotive systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Strong interest or academic project experience in Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps).
- Ability to create basic AI assistants and Agentic flows.
