We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Platform DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to join our Strategic Technology Group (STG) in Bangalore. STG is a core part of our technology organisation, supporting three main solution lines: Pricing, Capital, and Life. This role will primarily focus on supporting all three products. You'll be part of a high-impact team enabling the reliable, scalable, and secure delivery, working closely with global colleagues, as well as consultants and business development teams.

What the day will look like

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure, utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in creating Infrastructure AWS & Azure cloud.
• Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Service (ACS).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.
• Implement and manage CI/CD deployment processes, including Azure DevOps Deploy.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Provide support and troubleshooting for deployment and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to assess and approve changes.
• Utilize configuration management tools such as DSC, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.
• Package and deploy software using Chocolatey.
• Build and manage disk images using Packer (HashiCorp).
• Administer and optimize MS SQL databases.
• Maintain general Windows/Linux sysadmin tasks, including AD, DNS, IIS, and user permissions.
• Implement and manage web technologies, including load balancers, reverse proxies, and API management tools.
• Manage DNS and security settings using Cloudflare.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Reduce operational toil through automation and standardized runbooks.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with building CI/CD pipeline for Windows-based application.
• Fluent in Windows administrations.
• Skilled in Terraform, PowerShell, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (DSC, Ansible, Puppet, Salt).
• Understanding of software packaging and deployment using Chocolatey.
• Experience with Packer for disk image management.
• Solid understanding of MS SQL database administration.
• General sysadmin experience with Windows/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of web technologies and Cloudflare.
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Hands on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS, Azure & Terraform Certifications.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
• Experience writing complex Terraform & Powershell scripts.
• Container and orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
• Exposure to GitOps practices and modern CI/CD toolchains like Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Prior experience supporting complex enterprise platforms delivered to external clients.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and agile environment.
