Job Description

Role Overview

The Consultant / Senior Consultant – Accounting & Compliance will support Avyanco's UAE operations from the Ahmedabad back office by executing accounting, VAT, and Corporate Tax compliance work for UAE-based clients. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to work on IFRS-based financials and UAE tax frameworks. While Indian tax filings are not part of the role, working knowledge of Indian GST and Income Tax is expected as a core professional competency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain books of accounts for UAE entities in accordance with IFRS.
  • Perform bank, VAT, receivable, payable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Preparation and Reviewing of MIS reports.
  • Prepare and support UAE VAT returns, including reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in UAE Corporate Tax computations, workings, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports for internal review and client deliverables.
  • Support audit and compliance processes by preparing audit-ready documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal India and UAE teams for data collection, clarifications, and closure of assignments.
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, processes, and UAE statutory timelines.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (Pursuing or Qualified)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or tax compliance roles.
  • Sound understanding of:
  • Accounting fundamentals and financial statements
  • IFRS OR Ind AS (basic to intermediate level)
  • UAE VAT and Corporate Tax (exposure preferred; training will be provided)
  • Conceptual knowledge of Indian GST and Income Tax laws (knowledge-based requirement only; no execution).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work under supervision in an offshore consulting environment.
  • Good written communication skills for professional documentation and coordination.
