Key Responsibilities
SAP IBP & CI-DS Development
- Design and develop SAP IBP integration solutions using CI-DS.
- Develop CI-DS tasks, workflows, data services, and integration interfaces.
- Build and maintain IBP inbound and outbound interfaces.
- Implement data mapping, transformation, filtering, cleansing, and validation.
- Develop reusable integration components following SAP best practices.
S/4HANA & BW Integration
- Design and implement end-to-end integration between SAP IBP, S/4HANA/ECC, SAP BW, and external systems.
- Define appropriate data flow strategies, including real-time vs. batch and full load vs. delta load.
- Work with S/4HANA and BW teams to troubleshoot integration and data-related issues.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across connected systems.
Master & Transactional Data Integration
Hands-on experience integrating the following types of data is expected:
Master Data
- Customer
- Product / Material
- Location
- UOM
- Other planning-relevant master data
Transactional Data
- Sales
- Inventory
- Supply
- Sell-in / Sell-through
- Other planning-related transactional data
Performance & Data Quality
- Implement effective delta logic, filters, and transformations.
- Optimize CI-DS jobs for large data volumes and improved performance.
- Develop robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and reprocessing mechanisms.
- Perform data validation and resolve data quality issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex integration and scalability issues.
Testing & Deployment
- Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.
- Analyze and resolve integration defects.
- Support cutover planning and go-live activities.
- Provide post-go-live support and production issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain technical design and integration documentation.
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Define integration architecture across S/4HANA, ECC, IBP, BW, and external systems.
- Establish naming conventions, reusable objects, development standards, and best practices.
- Review CI-DS technical designs and ensure adherence to integration standards.
- Coordinate with IBP Lead, S/4HANA, BW, Basis, and other technical teams.
- Contribute to integration strategy, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills
- 6-8 years of SAP experience with strong relevant experience in SAP IBP.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IBP CI-DS.
- Strong knowledge of SAP IBP integration concepts.
- Experience integrating SAP IBP with S/4HANA/ECC.
- Experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP BW.
- Strong experience in CI-DS tasks, workflows, data services, mappings, transformations, and data loads.
- Experience with delta loads, full loads, filters, error handling, and reprocessing.
- Experience working with both master data and transactional data.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain planning processes.
Good to Have
- Experience with SAP Data Services.
- Knowledge of SAP IBP planning processes and planning areas.
- Experience handling high-volume data integration.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live.
- Knowledge of data migration and data quality management.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates who have strong hands-on expertise in
SAP IBP CI-DS along with proven experience in
S/4HANA and BW integration will be preferred.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across
integration architecture, CI-DS development, data troubleshooting, performance optimization, testing, and production support.
