Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, Quality Analyst SFDC!

The Salesforce Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Salesforce solutions meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and user experience. This role involves analyzing requirements, designing and executing test plans, validating configurations and customizations, and ensuring overall solution quality and stability across Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, etc.).

The QA will work closely with developers, business analysts, functional consultants, and end users to validate all aspects of Salesforce implementations - from custom code and integrations to data migrations and UI workflows.

Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Strategy

  • Analyze business requirements, functional specs, and technical design documents to create comprehensive test strategies and test plans.

  • Define test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria for Salesforce releases and enhancements.

  • Estimate QA efforts, define resource needs, and participate in sprint planning sessions.

  • Ensure testing coverage across all Salesforce layers - configuration, customization, integration, and security.

2. Test Case Design & Execution

  • Design detailed test cases and test scripts based on user stories and functional flows.

  • Execute manual and automated test cases for Salesforce applications, integrations, and APIs.

  • Validate Salesforce components including Apex classes, triggers, Lightning components (LWC/Aura), workflows, flows, validation rules, and page layouts.

  • Test Salesforce integrations with external systems (via REST, SOAP, middleware tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).

  • Perform UI testing for Lightning pages, Communities (Experience Cloud), and mobile experiences.

  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing for accessibility and responsiveness.

3. Automation Testing

  • Develop and maintain automated regression suites using tools such as:

  • Selenium / WebDriver, Provar, ACCELQ, TestComplete, or Katalon (depending on org tools).

  • Salesforce-specific automation frameworks (like Provar or Copado Robotic Testing).

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Copado, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

  • Ensure reusability and maintainability of test automation scripts.

  • Monitor and analyze test runs and generate automated test reports.

4. Defect Management & Quality Control

  • Log and track defects in JIRA / Azure DevOps / HP ALM, ensuring proper classification and severity assignment.

  • Collaborate with developers to perform root cause analysis and validate defect fixes.

  • Maintain traceability matrix between requirements, test cases, and defects.

  • Ensure consistent defect turnaround time and regression validation.

  • Provide daily and sprint-end QA status reports to stakeholders.

5. Data Validation & Migration Testing

  • Validate data integrity and field mappings across Salesforce and external systems.

  • Perform data migration testing (source-to-target verification, transformation logic, duplicates, nulls).

  • Support sandbox refresh validation, ensuring environment consistency and data accuracy.

  • Test reports and dashboards for correct aggregation and filtering logic.

6. Performance, Security & UAT Support

  • Conduct performance and load testing for critical Salesforce transactions and batch jobs.

  • Validate user access, profiles, roles, and permission sets against business rules.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scripts, coordinating with business users, and managing sign-offs.

  • Participate in post-deployment validation during production releases.

7. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and DevOps teams in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).

  • Provide feedback for improving test processes, coverage, and automation maturity.

  • Document best practices, reusable assets, and regression suites for reuse across projects.

  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, Lightning enhancements, and QA tools

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualification

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, automation tools, and declarative features.

  • Experience testing across multiple Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience).

  • Solid experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, QTest).

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools for Salesforce (Provar, Selenium, ACCELQ, etc.).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD testing pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodology.

  • Experience testing APIs (Postman, REST Assured) and integrations with external platforms.

  • Exposure todata migration, ETL testing, and Salesforce deployments.

Preferred Qualification

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator

  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder

  • ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation or Advanced Level

  • Provar Automation Certification

  • Any QA Automation or Agile Testing Certification

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying quality improvements.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple testing cycles simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Experience testing Einstein Analytics, Tableau CRM, or AI-driven Salesforce features.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or FSL testing.

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

  • Exposure toAgentic AI-driven test automation or AI-assisted quality validation.

  • Experience in test data management (TDM) within Salesforce environments.
