Consultant Psychiatrist – Sukoon on Campus

O.P. Jindal Global University | Sonipat, Haryana | On-site

About the Role

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to serve as the senior clinical authority for Sukoon's on-campus mental health services at O.P. Jindal Global University.

The role combines psychiatric care, crisis leadership, multidisciplinary supervision, and clinical governance within a tech-enabled campus mental health ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities-

1. Psychiatric Care & Clinical Leadership

  • Lead assessment and management of complex and high-risk psychiatric cases
  • Provide clinical direction across stepped-care pathways
  • Oversee risk assessment, safety planning and continuity of care

2. Crisis & Emergency Response

  • Lead response to psychiatric emergencies and high-risk situations
  • Coordinate stabilisation, escalation, referrals and emergency transfers
  • Work closely with campus health, security and emergency services

3. Treatment & Medication Management

  • Oversee psychiatric treatment plans for complex cases
  • Monitor psychotropic medication and treatment response
  • Ensure safe and appropriate clinical decision-making

4. Team Supervision & Collaboration

  • Guide psychologists, counsellors, nurses and other clinical staff
  • Participate in case reviews, handovers and multidisciplinary discussions
  • Support clinical decision-making on the ground

5. Digital & Data-Driven Care

  • Integrate digital and evidence-based mental health pathways
  • Review clinical data and dashboards to identify trends and risks
  • Support structured, outcome-focused care

6. University & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary clinical point of contact for university stakeholders
  • Support coordination around high-risk cases and safety protocols
  • Contribute clinical insights to campus mental health planning

7. Clinical Governance & Quality

  • Maintain clinical documentation, medication records and incident reports
  • Ensure confidentiality, ethical practice and regulatory compliance
  • Contribute to audits, training and continuous quality improvement

Eligibility Criteria-

  • MD/DNB Psychiatry or equivalent
  • Valid NMC/MCI registration
  • 1–2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Experience managing complex psychiatric cases
  • Exposure to crisis intervention and risk management
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
