This on-site role delivers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and neonatal care across a busy pediatric unit and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence.
About The Opportunity
We are hiring a Consultant Pediatrician to provide evidence-based clinical care, lead pediatric services, and help strengthen neonatal and child health outcomes. The role is fully on-site in India and offers exposure to both acute care and routine pediatric practice including NICU responsibilities, outpatient clinics, and participation in clinical governance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality clinical care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Lead and manage NICU/inpatient roundsstabilise sick neonates and children, oversee treatment escalation, and coordinate transfers when required.
- Provide timely emergency response for pediatric emergencies and participate in acute resuscitation events.
- Run structured outpatient clinics and growth & development assessments; manage vaccination schedules and preventive-care counselling.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, neonatology, nutrition, physiotherapy, social work) and liaise with families for care plans and discharge planning.
- Contribute to clinical governance: maintain accurate EMR documentation, participate in audits, quality-improvement initiatives, teaching, and case reviews.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD/DNB (Pediatrics) or equivalent specialist pediatric qualification and registration with the Medical Council/State Medical Council.
- Demonstrable clinical experience in pediatric inpatient and outpatient care, including neonatal management.
- Certification or practical competency in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Experience managing NICU-level care and stabilisation of critically ill children.
- Proficient in growth and developmental assessment and childhood immunization protocols.
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems / EMR and accurate medical record-keeping.
Preferred
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) or advanced neonatal care settings.
- Background in clinical teaching, mentoring junior doctors, or participation in continuous medical education (CME).
- Exposure to telemedicine platforms and participation in quality improvement or clinical audit projects.
