Role Description

Triesta Sciences is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Consultant Pathologist for a full-time, on-site position in Cuttack. The Consultant Pathologist will perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including gross and microscopic examination of specimens, and provide accurate and timely pathology reports. The role will also involve collaborating with clinical and research teams, overseeing laboratory operations, maintaining compliance with stringent quality and accreditation standards, and supporting advancements in diagnostics for oncology. Additionally, the Consultant Pathologist will engage in professional development and training activities to remain updated with the latest advancements in pathology.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in diagnosing and interpreting histopathology and cytopathology specimens.
  • Proficiency in oncopathology and molecular diagnostics, with a focus on cancer diagnostics and related tests.
  • Experience with laboratory quality assurance, compliance with CAP and NABL standards, and diagnostic accuracy evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and guide junior staff.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent qualification in Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an oncology-focused diagnostic setup.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving diagnostic technologies and workflows such as molecular genetics or Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
