Consultant Ophthalmologist/Phaco-Surgeon

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including vision testing and refraction.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, glasses, and contact lenses.
• Diagnose and treat eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, infections, and retinal disorders.
• Perform cataract surgeries including phacoemulsification procedures.
• Perform corrective and advanced surgeries such as corneal repair, keyhole surgery, and laser surgery.
• Manage traumatic eye injuries and emergency ophthalmic cases.
• Use therapeutic procedures and perform ocular biopsies when required.
• Maintain detailed patient records and treatment plans.
• Counsel patients regarding surgical procedures, treatment options, and post-operative care.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and ethical medical standards.
