Position: Consultant Ophthalmologist – Cataract / Phaco & Medical Retina

Required Skills

• Expertise in Cataract Surgery / Phacoemulsification.
• Experience in comprehensive ophthalmology OPD.
• Working knowledge and clinical skills in Medical Retina.
• Ability to evaluate and manage common retinal conditions.
• Capability to independently handle cataract evaluation, surgery and post-operative follow-up.
  
  

Qualification

• MS/DNB/Diploma in Ophthalmology or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ophthalmology OPD consultations.
• Perform cataract evaluation and phacoemulsification surgeries.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative cataract patients.
• Diagnose and manage common medical retinal conditions.
• Provide appropriate treatment and follow-up for retinal patients.
• Perform routine ophthalmic examinations and investigations.
• Counsel patients regarding surgical and medical treatment options.
• Maintain accurate clinical and surgical records.
• Coordinate with OT and clinical support teams.
  
  

Candidate Profile

• Consultant Ophthalmologist with strong Phaco/Cataract surgery skills.
• Medical Retina experience/skills are required.
• Good clinical judgement and surgical expertise.
• Strong patient communication and counselling skills.
• Candidates residing in South Bengaluru or nearby areas will be preferred.
• Candidates interested in a long-term association are encouraged to apply.
