Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - MS SQL Engineer L2

Responsibilities

.Perform daily administration of SQL Server databases (2016-2022) across various environments.

.Monitor DB health, jobs, backups, and replication using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and PowerBI dashboards.

.Execute daily, weekly, and monthly backup routines using native SQL tools and Commvault integration.

.Assist in applying cumulative updates and patches to SQL Server instances following change control.

.Resolve incidents and service requests raised via ServiceNow in alignment with SLAs.

.Perform basic query optimization, log management, and space utilization monitoring.

.Ensure security compliance by reviewing user access, permissions, and encryption settings.

.Maintain CMDB entries and update SOPs for DB operational tasks.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

.Good years of experience managing Microsoft SQL databases in enterprise environments.

.Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).

.Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

.Primary: SQL Server 2016-2022, SSMS, Commvault, PowerBI, ServiceNow.

.Secondary: Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Splunk, JIRA, Jenkins, Git.

.Certifications: Microsoft Certified - SQL Database Administrator Associate.
