Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Consultant in business analysis with minimum 7 to 12 years of experience in handling AML projects. Overall experience not more then 15 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by understanding current-state (As-Is) processes and defining future-state (To-Be) solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and related project documentation.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and vendors, facilitating requirements clarification, solution discussions, and issue resolution.
  • Support project management activities, including progress tracking, issue and risk management, stakeholder coordination, and status reporting.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage user-related activities such as workshops, testing, training, and implementation readiness.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and communications across business, technology, and vendor teams.
  • Work closely with AML stakeholders to assess business needs, evaluate solution feasibility, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support system implementation activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and post-implementation support.
  • Provide business and functional guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions align with AML operational and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 to 12 years of experience in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) domain within a financial institution, overall experience not more than 15 years.
  • Mandatory experience as a IT Business Analyst for minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience in business process enhancement, transformation initiatives, or system implementation projects within the banking industry.
  • Expertise in banking operations, processes, and systems, particularly within AML and financial crime compliance.
  • Experience working in and managing complex stakeholder environments, including business users, IT teams, compliance functions, Head Office, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in preparing business and project documentation, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills is mandatory.
  • Experience in any of AML areas such as KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Transaction Monitoring, Transaction Filtering, and Name Screening is mandatory.
  • Prior experience working within a bank's AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime department is required.
  • Experience with digital assets, cryptocurrency, or blockchain-related initiatives is an added advantage.
