Inviting applications for the role of Consultant- Mid-level Functional Test Engineer
We are seeking a talented and motivated Consultant with expertise as a Mid-level Functional Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough functional testing.
Responsibilities
. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
. Conduct functional testing activities, including test case execution, defect logging, and test result analysis.
. Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and QA leads, to ensure alignment on testing objectives and priorities.
. Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and other project meetings to provide input on testability and quality considerations.
. Identify and report defects, track issues to resolution, and ensure that all identified issues are addressed satisfactorily.
. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in functional testing, sharing knowledge and insights with the broader team.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
. Strong in Manual testing skills - Analyze requirements, do test design and documentation
. Bachelor%27s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Master%27s degree preferred.
. years of experience in software testing and quality assurance roles, with a focus on automation and manual testing.
. Knowledge of Selenium/rest assured API/ - Heavy backend automation + UI
. Testing backend applications without a UI
. Hands-on DB, Unix experience

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
. Proven expertise in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
. Strong understanding of testing methodologies, testing types, and testing best practices.
. Experience with performance testing, security testing, and/or accessibility testing is a plus.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
