Consultant - Gynaecologist

Job Description

Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient consultations for gynecological and obstetric patients Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care Conduct and manage normal and high-risk deliveries Perform gynecological and obstetric surgeries (elective and emergency) Handle gynecological emergencies and obstetric complications Ensure timely documentation of patient care records Surgical & Procedural Duties Perform procedures such as LSCS, hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgeries, D&C, and other gynecological interventions Assist or lead surgeries as per case complexity and hospital policy Ensure adherence to OT protocols and patient safety checklists Academic & Quality Responsibilities Participate in clinical audits and mortality & morbidity meetings Guide junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff Contribute to NABH, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives Stay updated with current best practices and clinical guidelines Administrative & Compliance Maintain medical records as per hospital and statutory requirements Follow NABH, medico-legal, and ethical standards Participate in hospital committees as assigned Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
