Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Consultant – General Medicine (MD Medicine) to join our clinical team at Vardaan Hospital, Shankar Nagar, Raipur.

The consultant will be responsible for managing patients across OPD, IPD and Emergency services, providing comprehensive medical care and working closely with other specialists, nursing teams and hospital administration to ensure high standards of clinical care and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage OPD and IPD patients under General Medicine.
• Evaluate, diagnose and manage adult medical conditions.
• Manage and coordinate emergency and critical medical cases.
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and ensure appropriate treatment plans and follow-up.
• Coordinate with specialists and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
• Follow hospital clinical protocols, infection-control practices and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and NABH-related initiatives.
• Support patient and family counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Contribute towards developing and strengthening the General Medicine Department at Vardaan Hospital.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: MD – General Medicine from a recognised institution

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience

Candidates should possess appropriate medical registration/credentials as required for clinical practice.
