Consultant Gastroenterologist

Role: Consultant Gastroenterologist

Location: Remote/Work from home

Working Hours: Flexible hours

Compensation: Hourly Basis

Key Responsibilities and Knowledge

• Video & Image Annotation: Review, identify, and label anatomical structures, mucosal abnormalities, or lesions on GI tract medical images and endoscopy/colonoscopy video recordings using specialised digital annotation tools provided by the company.
• Pathology Segmentation: Perform precise bounding-box or pixel-level segmentation of polyps, ulcers, tumours, or areas of inflammation (e.g., Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis tracking).
• Clinical Assessment Frameworks: Track and evaluate disease severity or tumour response over time. A working knowledge of GI-specific staging and grading indices (such as RECIST for GI oncology, or Mayo Score / SES-CD for IBD) is a must.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications: Medical degree with specialisation in Gastroenterology (DM / DNB Gastroenterology). Fellowships or heavy involvement in GI Oncology or Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy will be an added advantage.
• Experience: Active clinical experience performing and interpreting upper GI endoscopies and colonoscopies
• Availability: Ability to manage a flexible part-time workload under agreed project deadlines.
