Job Description

  • Patient Consultation & DiagnosisEvaluate patients with digestive symptoms (e.g., abdominal pain, reflux, bleeding)
  • Diagnose conditions like ulcers, IBS, liver disease, pancreatitis, and cancers
  • Procedures & InterventionsPerform endoscopic procedures such as:
  • Gastroscopy (upper GI endoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
  • Treatment PlanningPrescribe medications and lifestyle changes
  • Coordinate surgical referrals if needed
  • Emergency CareManage acute GI emergencies (e.g., GI bleeding, severe infections)
  • Team LeadershipSupervise junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
  • Research & TeachingEngage in clinical research
  • Teach medical students and trainees
