Engineer manages construction projects on-site, ensuring designs are built correctly, safely, and on schedule by supervising work, checking technical drawings, coordinating teams, troubleshooting issues, managing materials, and maintaining detailed progress reports to bridge engineering plans with physical construction.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution: Overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.Technical Oversight: Interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and geological data; providing technical advice; and resolving on-site engineering challenges.Team & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with architects, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers; briefing teams; and delegating tasks.Quality & Safety: Conducting site inspections, performing quality checks, monitoring progress, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental protocols (HSE).Documentation: Preparing site reports, progress logs, change orders, and maintaining accurate records.Resource Management: Coordinating material procurement and delivery, managing timelines, and ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule.
